1. What this policy covers
This Cookie Policy explains which browser technologies Gignal uses, why they are needed, and how you can control them. It applies to the public website and the authenticated workspace.
2. Essential cookies
| Name | Purpose | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|
sessionid | Keeps you signed in and links requests to your protected session. | Up to 14 days or until sign-out |
csrftoken | Protects forms and account actions against forged cross-site requests. | Up to 1 year |
django_language | Remembers the interface language you selected. | Until the browser session ends |
These cookies are required to provide a secure service. Blocking them may prevent sign-in, form submission, or language preferences from working.
3. Local browser storage
Gignal uses localStorage to remember your light or dark theme on that device. This preference remains until you change it or clear the site’s stored data. It is not used to identify you across other websites.
4. Public-site analytics
Public marketing pages use a self-hosted Plausible instance for aggregated page and call-to-action statistics. In our configuration it does not set analytics cookies or build advertising profiles. The analytics script is not loaded inside the authenticated workspace and does not receive your client, financial, time-tracking, or tax records.
5. Your controls
You can delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Essential features may stop working after doing so. Gignal does not currently use advertising cookies. If we introduce a non-essential technology, we will update this policy and request prior consent where applicable law requires it.
6. Changes and contact
Material changes will be shown with a new effective date and, when appropriate, notified in the product or by email. Questions: [email protected].
